Outback Steakhouse Hong Kong has been recognized as a 'Caring Company' by the Hong Kong Council of Social Service.

The award is in recognition of Outback's contribution to the Hong Kong community by collecting food and raising funds for the St. James' Settlement People's Food Bank.

The People's Food Bank is one of the charity projects of St.James' Settlement (SJS). The organization provides short-term emergency food support to people who cannot afford their daily food expenses, and to families of low income. The People's Food Bank is mainly supported by the donations from the community in terms of cash and food.

Outback Steakhouse Hong Kong participates in many aspects of Hong Kong life. Recent events including the Orbis Walkathon, the HKIS School fair, the Matilda Sedan Chair run, and the Peak School fair. Outback donates 100% of event takings to the charity or organization.
